Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made via our website, in-store, or through third-party platforms. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.


1. About Us

West Midlands Electrical Superstore is an electrical goods retailer and servicing company based in Wednesbury, West Midlands (WS10 7HF).
We have been established for over 40 years, supplying domestic appliances to customers across the UK.


2. Products & Condition

  • All products are brand new and unused, unless clearly stated otherwise (e.g. Ex-Display, Clearance, R-Grade).

  • All items are supplied with a minimum 12-month manufacturer’s warranty unless stated otherwise.

  • Product images, descriptions, specifications, and dimensions are for illustration purposes only and may vary slightly between manufacturers.

  • Dimensions quoted exclude protruding features such as knobs, handles, trims, or hinges and are approximate.


3. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are listed in GBP (£) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

  • Prices may change at any time prior to order confirmation.

  • Orders are not confirmed or allocated until payment is received in full and accepted.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • No contract exists until payment is authorised by the payment provider.


4. Orders & Order Confirmation

  • Customers must provide a valid contact telephone number at checkout.

  • Orders will normally be confirmed within 24 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

  • Please do not be concerned if confirmation is not immediate.

  • West Midlands Electrical Superstore reserves the right to cancel any order due to pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected fraud. Any payments received will be refunded.


5. Delivery

5.1 Delivery Areas

  • We deliver to UK Mainland only.

  • We do not deliver to KW, BT, IV, AB, PH postcodes or certain remote Scottish locations unless agreed in advance.

  • Surcharges may apply to restricted, remote, or congestion-zone postcodes.

5.2 Delivery Times

  • Standard delivery is 2–7 working days.

  • Delivery dates are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.

  • Customers will usually receive a call 1 day before delivery and 1 hour prior on the day.

5.3 Delivery Conditions

  • Proof of Delivery signature confirms goods have been received in acceptable condition.

  • Large appliances are delivered to ground floor level only.

  • Entry into property is at the customer’s own risk.

  • Failed deliveries or refused deliveries will incur a £49.99 charge.


6. Inspection & Damage Reporting

  • Goods must be checked before signing.

  • If inspection is not possible, please sign as “damaged” as a precaution.

  • Any damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Failure to report within 48 hours means we cannot accept liability.

  • Food loss from damaged refrigeration items is not covered.


7. Returns, Cancellations & Collections

7.1 Returns & Cancellations

  • All cancellations or return requests must be made within 28 days of delivery.

  • Items must be returned unused, uninstalled, and in original, undamaged packaging with all contents.

  • Special order items are non-refundable unless faulty.

7.2 Charges

  • Collection charge: £49.99 minimum in all cases.

  • Cancelled or returned non-faulty items are subject to a 30% handling/restocking charge due to loss of resale value. Item's must be unopened and sealed in original box/packaging. 

  • Items already dispatched at time of cancellation will still incur charges.


8. Faults, Warranty & Manufacturer Support

  • All faults must be reported directly to the manufacturer in the first instance.

  • In most cases, a manufacturer engineer visit is required before any replacement or uplift can be authorised.

  • Faulty items cannot be exchanged or refunded without manufacturer authorisation.

  • If an item is deemed beyond economical repair and an uplift code is issued, this entitles the customer to an exchange or credit.

Fair Usage Refunds

If a refund is offered outside the initial period, a fair usage deduction may apply based on time used.


9. Product Grades

R-Grade

Reworked units from Whirlpool facilities with a 12-month warranty. Minor cosmetic blemishes may be present.

A-Grade

New and unused items, often with opened or scruffy packaging and possible minor cosmetic marks.

Ex-Display & Clearance

Brand new items supplied with manufacturer warranty, may show cosmetic marks or non-original packaging.


10. Installation & Safety

  • All gas and electrical appliances must be installed by qualified professionals.

  • Washing machine transit bolts must be removed before use.

  • Refrigeration appliances must stand 12 hours before switching on.

  • Products must not be modified or misused.

  • Commercial use of domestic appliances may void warranties.

Failure to comply may invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.


11. Installation & Disposal Charges (Guide)

Installation is available locally and, in some cases, nationwide.

Indicative charges:

  • Washing machines – £30

  • Electric cookers – £60

  • Gas cookers – £80

  • Built-in ovens – £60–£100

  • Hobs – £100

Old appliance disposal:

  • Standard WEEE – £10

  • Refrigeration items – £30

Charges are confirmed when the order is processed.


12. Snap Finance Orders

Some Snap Finance orders incur a £49.99 delivery charge due to enhanced courier requirements including photo evidence and ID verification.


13. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.


14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Terms in force at the time of order apply.
